A Little Bit About the Book Itself:
See my review HERE.

The Deal (Off-Campus #1)
    by: Elle Kennedy

Publication Date: Feb. 24, 2015
Publisher: Self-Published
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age Group: New Adult
Page Count: 358 pages

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy...Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...and it’s going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Top Five Reasons Why Garrett Graham Should Be Your Next Book Boyfriend

1. He's a sexy as sin hockey player.

“Just out of curiosity,” she says, “after you wake up in the morning, do you admire yourself in the mirror for one hour or two?”

“Two,” I reply cheerfully.

“Do you high five yourself?”

“Of course not.” I smirk. “I kiss each of my biceps and then point to the ceiling and thank the big man upstairs for creating such a perfect male specimen.”

2. He's funny as hell.

“Hey.” I lean back against my pillow. “I’m sorry I can’t come over and kiss all your boo-boos, but I’m working on the song.”

“It’s okay. There’s only one boo-boo I want you to kiss, and you sound too distracted for that.” He pauses. “I’m talking about my dick, by the way.”

I fight back laughter. “As you wish.”
“Did you really just Princess Bride me?”
“Did you really just use Princess Bride as a verb?”

3. He's persistent and refuses to give up on the things that matter to him.

“Unbelievable. Every girl at this college would cut her frickin’ arm off to help me out. But this one? Runs away like I just asked her to murder a cat so we could sacrifice it to Satan.”

“Two minutes later, Garrett pops into the corridor, and I take one look at his expression and know he’s about to deliver good news. “You passed?” I squeal. He raises his exam booklet over his head like he’s acting out a scene from the Lion King. “A-fucking-minus!”

4. He's a genuine good guy.

“You won't let anything bad happen to me, will you, Garrett?"
A lump the size of Massachusetts lodges in my throat. I swallow hard and try to speak past it.
"Never.”

“Look, I'm the DD tonight, but I'm offering to be more than just your driver. I'll be your bodyguard, and your bartender, and most importantly, your friend. I promise to look out for you tonight, Wellsy.”

“He shakes his head in amazement. “Your voice is…fuck, Wellsy, it’s beautiful.”

My cheeks heat up. “You think so?”

His impassioned expression tells me he’s dead serious. “Play something else,” he orders.

“Um. What do you want to hear?”

“Anything. I don’t care.” I’m startled by the intensity in his voice, the emotion now glittering in his gray eyes. “I just need to hear you sing again.”

5. He's a damn good kisser.

“She tries to take a step down the hall, but I tug on her hand and kiss her again, and this time it's not a peck. I kiss her hard, losing myself in her taste and her heat and every damn thing about her. I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don't know you ever lived without them.”

"His lips brush mine, lazy and teasing, while his tongue sneaks inside every so often for a fleeting taste before seductively retreating. I slant my head and drive the kiss deeper, and I moan when the minty flavor of him infuses my tongue. A masculine rumble comes from the back of his throat, and my belly clenches in response."

“There's no one better than him. Garrett is the best man I've ever known. And not just because he's smart and sexy and funny and so much sweeter than I ever gave him credit for. He makes me feel alive.”- Hannah

My Rating: 5/5 stars

In this emotional and sexy New Adult debut from Brighton Walsh, the only thing more frightening than commitment is hope…...Aspiring chef Cade Maxwell is immediately, viscerally attracted to Winter Jacobson. But it’s not her mouthwatering curves he’s drawn to—it’s the strange emptiness in her eyes. When Cade saves her from a drunken customer with grabby hands, he’s shocked at her response…...

Winter doesn’t need Cade’s help. After a lifetime of getting by on her own, she’s happy to rely on herself. She’s exactly seventy-six days away from graduating college, and if she can hold it together that long, she’ll finally be able to rise above the crappy hand she was dealt.

But now, every time she turns around, Cade is there, ready to push her, smile at her, distract her from her plans. Winter knows she can’t afford to open up—especially to a man she’s terrified to actually want….

Cooking with Cade

I asked Cade to share with other guys out there how to cook up a first date meal that is sure to make the girls swoon!

Here is his response:

I’m probably not the best one to give advice on what do make on a first date. Not because I don’t know how to cook—I do—but because if history is anything to go by, I’m kind of an idiot about it. Guys, let me save you from repeating my mistakes: first things first, ask your girl what she likes. Does she have any allergies? Is she a vegetarian? I didn’t ask Winter any questions before I decided what I was making. Fortunately, she had no aversions and ate what I fed her (marinated hanger steak topped with butter and shaved blue cheese, with a side of grilled asparagus).
That might be a bit ambitious for some, so let’s start with the basics—get some wine (maybe a bottle of white and red, so you have her preference on hand). Also, pick one thing, focus on it, and do it well. If you make amazing desserts, make dessert. If you can’t do dessert worth shit, find a bakery and spend your energy cooking the main course.
Finally, get her involved. If I’d known on that first date just how hot cooking with Winter could be, I would’ve dragged her around the island and had her help. Cooking is sensual by nature, and doing it with a date amps up that sexual chemistry that can only be matched between the sheets (or on whatever surface you’re fond of).

I am so excited to have Jonah here with me today! I interviewed him a while back, so it was great to have him here again! I asked him if he would talk to us about his and Chloe's relationship. This will show you exactly WHY I am in love with him!

~Top Ten Things You May Not Know About Jonah and Chloe's Relationship~

1. Outside of my brother, Chloe knows me better than anyone else. While I'm close to him due to us being identical twins (and, you know, constantly in each other's heads), I like to think she and I are so close not so much due to our Connection, but because we genuinely like and trust each other.

2. Even though we spent more years together in our dreams than in real life, it doesn't feel that way to me. Despite constantly worrying I was nuts for being in love with a girl in my dreams, she always was my anchor.

3. Speaking of our years together... despite the level of comfort and familiarity we have, every time I look at Chloe or hear her voice, my heart races a little. I think it always will. At least, I hope so.

4. Something we like to do together is try out new restaurants. Chloe isn't very adventurous with food. Honestly? Neither am I. So we decided to force ourselves out of our comfort zones and try new things together. Now, it's one of our favorite things to do because we get to have all these new experiences together. Even if we're totally disgusted by what we're eating.

5. She and I like to leave each other little notes in surprising places- like inside mugs or taped to the toothpaste tube or in coat pockets, places where we might not expect them. Some are sweet, some sexy, some funny, some sentimental. All are meant to let the other know we're thinking of them. And sometimes we like to make it a challenge, where you have to find several notes to make a complete message. Obviously, we never, ever share these with anyone else, so I won't be sharing with you what any of them say. But, let's just say that I've kept all the ones she's given me.

6. We often read books to each other. I love listening to her read. She does the best voices in stories, so it's easy to lose myself into the stories I hear. Conversely, she makes me use accents while reading- despite being able to speak a number of languages, I'm horrible at using different voices in books. But she's sweet enough to listen to me anyway.

7. We are addicted to Will Farrell movies and quote them to each other often. We also try to work his movie quotes into everyday conversation as innocuously as possible- it's a game to us. Some people think we're totally nuts when they realize what we're doing, but it never fails to make us laugh.

8. It seems pretty impossible, since I love her so much, but every day I fall in love with Chloe even more- even when she's breaking my heart. That sounds weird, right? But it's true.

9. When we were last in Rome, we threw coins in the Trevi Fountain- only one apiece, though, since we are already in love. I think it would make both us very happy if could move part of the year to Rome.

10. Speaking of Italy....um... Chloe loves it when I speak Italian to her. Especially when, you know, we're alone. So, yeah. There's that.

DREAMY SIGHHHH. Thank you Jonah for talking to us about you and Chloe's relationship!
