Top Ten Tuesday #17

By 7:40 AM

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books Featuring Travel in Some Way

1. The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson (The second book in the Fire and Thorns trilogy- Elisa must go on a journey to discover the true power of the Godstone she carries. Her traveling group is quite unique- but my favorite to go with her is Hector, Captain of the Queen's Guard, who she is falling in love with.)

2. That Time I Joined the Circus by J.J. Howard (The main character leaves NYC to find her mom- and ends up hanging out at a traveling circus)

3. Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready (The third and final book in the Shade trilogy- Aura travels to Scotland to visit Zachary and it's precious.)

4. Golden by Jessi Kirby. (Our main character takes a road trip with her best friend and the guy she likes to help uncover the truth about a girl who had supposedly died from their HS)

5. Hourglass by Myra McEntire (This is one of my favorite books about time travel!)

6. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead (The final book in the Vampire Academy series- Rose (our main character) is on the run from the law that says she committed a crime that she in fact didn't. However, she is on the run with her ex Dimitri and man do sparks fly!)

7. Firelight by Sophie Jordan. (The first book in the Firelight series- our main character Jacinda, is actually a drakon that loves to fly in the mornings)

8. Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase (Um, hello- the airplane scene with Alex and Sam? YEAH.)

9. Everbound by Brodi Ashton. (Watching Nikki and Cole journey through the Underneath to find Jack... so awesome.)

10. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (One of my favorite books about time travel- though it breaks my heart every time.)

  9. I'm happy to see Golden on another list. The adventure in that book kind of reminded me of the one in The Fault in Our Stars--it's quirky and unique. And, uh, yeah, sparks do in fact fly in Last Sacrifice. But of course, this little runaway broke poor Adrian's heart :'( Great list!

    1. I loved Golden. I haven't read TFIOS yet... I'm a bit afraid to be honest. I know it deals with some heavy stuff and wasn't sure if I'd be ready for it. Yes, poor Adrian. But his heart is mending in the Bloodlines series!!! So it makes it a little more ok. LOL.
