Music Monday #72

By 1:00 AM

Music Monday is a weekly feature I do to show off music must- haves!
Same deal as last week. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVEN'T FEATURED FOSTER THE PEOPLE?! I am obsessed with this album! After hearing 'Pumped Up Kicks' on the radio, I never thought I would like these guys. It's not that I didn't like the song per say, but I don't know. I was a little unsettled by the lyrics. "All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you better run, better run outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks, you better run, better run faster than my bullet..." (Living in an age of school shootings, it just wasn't the best song for mainstream radio.)
Don't let that one song turn you off though. The others on the album are really great.
Of course, Foster the People was one of the bands at Bonnaroo the year I went and that's what prompted me to listen to more. I was really disappointed I didn't get to listen to a lot of their set, but they were on a different stage right before Radiohead. And I chose Radiohead. (If I could go back in time, I'd change that.)
