Tasty Tuesday #27

By 1:00 AM

Hey guys! I'm back again with another Tasty Tuesday!

I do alter my recipes to fit my own tastes, so please also feel free to refer back to the original recipe at the bottom of the post to see what I may have eliminated.

Most of my recipes are Weight Watcher friendly, but don't let that scare you away. They are actually really good. I've also found some great websites like Skinny Kitchen and Skinny Taste that I use a lot too. Most of my recipes have some kick to them, so if you are not a big spicy person, adjust the spices to better fit your tastes. OH. And all of the meals I cook are really easy to prepare. I'm not big on difficult meals.

Today I am featuring:

Easy Crock Pot BBQ Chicken

Ingredients:

-6 chicken breasts
-3 cups chopped onion
-1 bottle of barbeque sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray's honey BBQ)
-1 8oz. can tomato sauce
-2 tbsps. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

1. Place onions in a microwave safe bowl and cook in the microwave for 3 minutes to soften.

2. Add cooked onions to crock pot. Stir in BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Add the chicken breasts and submerge into sauce.

3. Cover and cook on high heat 2 hours or low heat 4 hours.

Notes:

*I actually halved this recipe and only used 3 chicken breasts, 1 cup of onion, half a bottle of BBQ sauce, half a can tomato sauce, and 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce.

*There will be leftover sauce. Once cooked, you only use 1/2 of it to serve over the chicken breasts. So, I decided to put on top of my mashed potatoes (as shown above) and it was delicious! (You have to have the chicken submerged in sauce, so there's no way around using more than necessary.)

Serves: 6
Serving Size: 1 chicken breasts and 1/4 cup sauce
Cook Time: 2-4 hours
WW+: 6

  1. Hey, look at the new blog look! I like it! Barbeque chicken is one of those things I like to eat but only rarely. I have to be in the mood for it. Crock pots are such lifesavers!

    1. Thank you Nereyda! :) I need my own crock pot. I'm using my parents and they're all 'we want that back for when it gets cold' LOL.

Leave me some comment love! And I will get around to commenting back!

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
