Tasty Tuesday #35

By 1:00 AM

Hey guys! I'm back again with another Tasty Tuesday!

I do alter my recipes to fit my own tastes, so please also feel free to refer back to the original recipe at the bottom of the post to see what I may have eliminated.

Most of my recipes are Weight Watcher friendly, but don't let that scare you away. They are actually really good. I've also found some great websites like Skinny Kitchen and Skinny Taste that I use a lot too. Most of my recipes have some kick to them, so if you are not a big spicy person, adjust the spices to better fit your tastes. OH. And all of the meals I cook are really easy to prepare. I'm not big on difficult meals.

Today I am featuring:

Chili

Ingredients:

-1lb. ground beef
-1 can Great Northern beans
-1 can Chili Magic (I use the green label, Medium)
-1 can chili style diced tomatoes
-chili powder to taste
-salt and pepper to taste

To make Petros:

-Frito Lay chips
-sour cream
-cheese

Directions:

1. Brown hamburger meat. Drain off any fat.

2. In a crock pot or large soup pan, mix hamburger meat, beans, chili magic, diced tomatoes, chili powder, salt and pepper. Heat!

Notes:

I like to make my chili into a petro- with fritos, cheese, and sour cream.

I realize this is not a very healthy recipe either. To make it one, you could sub turkey for ground beef. I use fat free sour cream, so I guess that counts for something?

This is my football/fall chili and even though I could make it healthier, it's ok to splurge now and again!

Serves: 4-6
Serving Size: 1 bowl
Cook Time: Depends on whether you use oven or crock pot.

Recipe taken from a friend!

  3. Hmmm, I need to find some substitutes here because I'm not sure I can find everything at our supermarkets, but I really want to try this recipe!

Leave me some comment love! And I will get around to commenting back!

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
