The Monday Musts- Everything, Everything; Kaleo; and the Chicago Series

By 1:00 AM

The Monday Musts is a new weekly meme I started and will be doing instead of Music Monday. This way I can combine my love of music to fit better with my book blog.

Thank you to Tonya for making me the above graphic to go with my new meme! <3

I would love for others to join me in doing The Monday Musts! I have included a Linky at the end of my post, so please share your Monday Musts!

It's super easy to do. What is a must read book? What album/song/artist is a must listen? And finally what has caught your eye that is a must see? (Can be ANYTHING. Other blogs, bookish things, pictures, etc.)

This week's MUSTS:

Must Read:

Ok, I know. I'm sure a lot of you are like, "Well DUH Jessica. Why did you wait so long to read it?"

Hype. I didn't really think I bought into hype, but apparently I do... why else would I keep pushing certain books back?

Anyway. This book was seriously everything. I adored Ollie and my heart ached for Maddy and her situation. Their friendship turned romance was so wonderfully done and I really enjoyed their communication with one another. I was able to predict what happened, but only because I had read another book that had a similar idea and it ended up being the same result. Still, it didn't ruin my reading enjoyment. I definitely rec this one!

Must Listen:

Artist: Kaleo
Song: Way Down We Go

After hearing and loving Kaleo's All the Pretty Girls single, they had a new fan instantaneously. I love their sound so much. They hail from Iceland and I am really looking forward to a full scale album soon.

I heard this song 'Way Down We Go' on the mid-season finale of Blindspot and I have had it on repeat for days!

Must See:

I absolutely adore the Chicago shows! I mainly watch P.D. and Med, but I have watched Fire and really enjoyed that one too.

Chicago Med is the newest installment of the Chicago series and I seriously binge watched all 5 episodes in one night. Grey's Anatomy? What's that? I am all kinds of about CM. I like that it's low drama right now. It really focuses more on the medical aspects and it is slowly giving you bits and pieces of the main characters' lives. I really like that.

Chicago P.D. is one I started consistently watching this year too. Erin (pictured top right) is so badass, as is Voight (the middle cop). I know there are tons of cop/detective shows on tv, but this is one that I genuinely like.

Plus, there are lots of crossovers between the three shows, which is always fun. I've seen enough of Chicago Fire to know who everyone is, so it's always a treat to see them even though I don't watch it anymore.

Chicago Med and Fire both come on NBC Tuesdays at 8 CST.
Chicago P.D. comes on NBC Wednesdays at 9 CST.

  4. Everything Everything was such a buzz book at BEA and since it's not my go-to genre, I didn't really get swept away by it at the time...but now I'm thinking I should have grabbed a copy because it's become oddly appealing to me :) I'm happy you loved it so much and I now I know I MUST read it!!

  6. Chicago Fire and Chicago PD are must see tv for me and my mom. Still haven't watched Med yet but I'm planning a binge once I finish Revenge. I adore all the characters, and they really pull no punches with the storylines. I love when they crossover. So glad I have a Chicago buddy who loves them too! :)
