Swoon Thursday #9
Swoon Thursday is a
weekly event hosted by YA Bound.
Here's what you
do:
From the book you're currently reading, or one you just finished, tell me what made you swoon. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering. Shout it out on twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments or grab the button above and share it on your blog.
This week's swoon comes from Rae Carson's The Crown of Embers, which is Carson's second book in the Fire and Thorns trilogy.
"With a swift motion, he cups the back of my head and presses his warm lips to mine. The pit of my stomach drops away as I open my mouth to his. He groans, wrapping his other arm around my waist, pulling me toward him until I am almost in his lap. I arch against him; my breath comes fast as he explores my mouth. Before his kisses were patient and sweet. But there is nothing of sweetness in him now, just heat and desperate need."
What made you swoon this week?!
