Armchair BEA: Non-Fiction and Ethics

By 9:03 PM

Today we're talking non-fiction and ethics while blogging!

To be very honest, I do not read non-fiction books. I read plenty of non-fiction works mainly while in school. And even more novels that are based off true events. I did love reading Anne Frank though when I was younger.

(Sorry I don't have much to offer on this topic today!)

As for ethics in blogging, I'm going to enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on this! The biggest thing in my opinion is to be honest in your reviews. I know, I as a reader, visit alot of other blogs and really look at other's recommendations. I want to know what they're really thinking about a book before I go and buy it. I don't want to purchase a book that someone absolutely hated but glammed it up in their review. (Granted, even when books receive negative reviews, I still make the ultimate judgment call for myself, but it's nice to know what people are thinking about it beforehand.)

(Also, I apologize for the comment moderation- I have been getting hit pretty hard with spam lately, so I haven't had much choice. It's a pain to go back to multiple old posts and have to delete their crap.)

  1. Honesty. I love it. I think if everyone just remembered that that we would not have any problems in the blogging sphere.

  2. Honesty is always best. It is hard to write a bad review but if I never see one on your blog I doubt your honesty.

    1. Exactly! I don't write many bad reviews, because I try to preview my books beforehand to ensure I'll like them. But sometimes it doesn't work out that way and I have to say what I have to say!

  3. I don't think I've ever read a non-fiction book. Well unless I was forced to for school or something. Fiction is my thing, contemps especially.

    1. Oh, yes. I probably won't ever read another non-fiction book. Unless I'm required to for my job. But give me fiction any day! And lately I have been LOVING the contemps!

Leave me some comment love! And I will get around to commenting back!

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
