Top Ten Tuesday #13

By 7:26 AM

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light and Fun

1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. (Such a cute read! AND, it's set in Paris! AND it's got a cute guy named Etienne.)

2. Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase. (A fun NA contemporary about a girl finding out she is royalty. It has a Princess Diaries feel, but I loved it SO MUCH MORE.)

3. Pretending He's Mine by Lauren Blakely. (Another NA contemporary. A fun read about a girl who hires an actor to portray her fianceé to help her score the job of a lifetime.)

4. Losing It by Cora Carmack. (Ok, apparently NA contemps are the main books I read that are light and fun. Anyways, this was a bit cheesy to me, but I still really liked it. Girl wants to lose her virginity, attempts a one-night stand, one night-stand turns out to be her new professor. Woops.)

5. The Collector by Victoria Scott. (Some of you may not think this is light and fun, but I thought it was HILARIOUS. Dante had me laughing out loud the whole book.)

6.  Golden by Jessi Kirby. (I wasn't going to put this one on here, but then I think, why not? It's an incredible book and made me smile so many times. Just because it made me reflect doesn't mean it's not a light read, right?)

7. The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst. (Adult romance about a woman and her best friend's older brother who marry each other for convenience and to keep their jobs, but of course end up falling for each other.)

8. Inhale, Exhale by Sarah M. Ross. (I just read this and I really liked it. A very cute NA love story.)

9. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins. (A cute YA read about a girl who is sent to a boarding school of sorts for the supernatural. Sophie, the main character is fun, and Archer is just hotness personified.)

10. Slammed by Colleen Hoover. (Ok, I know alot of you don't think this is a light read because of some of the things that happen- but it's the sweetest of sweet love stories and I couldn't think of one more book, so it's going to have to work!)

Whew! That was a hard one! What made your Top Ten this week? Leave your link so I can go check it out!

  3. I heart your list very much, I put both Anna and Losing It (LOVE) on mine too and I ALMOST added The Collector but it was between that and Obsidian and Daemon won out over Dante. And let's face it...no one blog can handle the both of them at once!

    1. VERY TRUE! This works out perfectly- I put Dante and you put Daemon, so they were both represented!! I'm so glad you liked Losing It! It was a fun one. I made my best friend read it and she doesn't typically do NA books.
