Stacking the Shelves #21
Stacking the Shelves is an event hosted by Tynga's
Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your
shelves.
Received for Blog Tour/Review:
Off The Record (Off series #3) by Sawyer Bennett (A big thanks to AToMR for this one!) Tour Date: July 9th
Just Breathe by Rachel Brookes (A big thanks to Rachel for this one!) Tour Date: July 8th
NetGalley:
Taste Test by Kelly Fiore (Thank you Bloomsbury USA!)
Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover (This was a Read Now. Couldn't pass it up.)
Edelweiss:
Crave (Billionaire Bachelors Club Series #1) by Monica Murphy
Bought:
This Love (University of Branton #1) by Nazarea Andrews
(I blame Sheri from Tangled Up in Books for both of these purchases.)
Book Signing:
As most of you know UtopYA is going on in Nashville right now- and I was lame and didn't get a ticket before they sold out. But then I saw that Brina Courtney had set up a (free) author event with Metamorphosis Books! And I went crazy:
Zoey Rogue (Incubatti #1) by Lizzy Ford (Another girl said it was a cross between Buffy and 50 Shades. Um- YES?)
Love's Second Chance (Second Chances #1) by L.P. Dover (L.P. is the sweetest, most adorable person ever. She's bubbly, fun, and chatty. Loved talking to her!)
Forever Fae (Forever Fae #1) by L.P. Dover
Silent Orchids (Age of Alandria #1) by Morgan Wylie (I actually read and reviewed this one already for a blog tour. I have been wanting to meet Morgan ever since we discovered we both live in the same area! She is so sweet and I cannot thank her enough for this!)
Here (Here Trilogy #1) by Ella James (Going to do a giveaway for this one! YA Sci-Fi romance!)
Selling Scarlett (Love Inc. #1) by Ella James (Ella was so sweet to give me this one at a discounted price! I told her I was a blogger and I wasn't able to do the tour, so she hooked me up!)
Promise Me This (Promise Me #1) by Sarah Ashley Jones (Sarah was a real sweetheart too! Loved talking to her about bookish/bloggy things!)
So, I planned on a slower week, but then I went to the signing. What goodies did you guys get?

OOh nice haul! Haven't heard of these before but I hope you enjoy them all! I am hoping that the last half of the year will bring a signing to my city, but so far it hasn't happened yet!

ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! Yep, I also need to read Hopeless, but after everyone went crazy on Twitter over this, I figured I'd snag it.
DeleteSo many new books! I myself am trying to demolish my TBR before piling book after book after book (but I still bought a new book!) Hehe.
ReplyDeleteSmart idea Goldie! I thought I was doing so good this week too! That signing killed me. LOL.

:D Thanks Juhina! I've already seen the status updates coming in for Losing Hope- clearly, it's just as emotional as Hopeless! LOL.

Thanks Val! I'm really excited! I definitely want to read all of Sawyer's Off books.
DeleteI got Losing Hope, too! I can't wit to start it. Selling Scarlet was really good, but Captive in the Dark was amazing! Hope you like it as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteMy haul: http://mycrazybookobsession.blogspot.se/2013/06/stacking-shelves-37.html
Ah! I am so excited for both Selling Scarlet and Captive! I will have to tweet at you and let you know when I finish them! Enjoy you some Holder! <3
DeleteHoly crackers! You bought Captive in the Dark?! *happy dance* That series is one of the best most delicious mind-fucks EVER! Really curious to see what you think of it! I forgot about Just Breathe, it looks really good. And yeah I got Run To You, freaking finally! I was actually denied on Edelweiss even though I got approved for other Avon books. I was forced to contact the publisher which I try my best to avoid. Luckily, her publicist was really sweet and I got my copy like 5 minutes later. Hope you like it! Awesome book haul!
ReplyDeleteI think you may have been one of the ones leading up to my Captive in the Dark. I've been eyeing it for awhile, but saw it was $.99 and I HAD to have it. Just finished Just Breathe this afternoon- and I really liked it! And yay for Run To You!! I'm glad you ended up getting it! That's weird, they'd approve you for the others but not that one.
DeleteI got Taste Test too, I love that there are recipes included in the book! :) My StS post: http://aliceinreaderland.com/2013/06/30/stacking-the-shelves/

ReplyDelete:D Thanks Teresa! I hope you love it!
DeleteLook at all those beautiful books you got from the signing!! I thought about requesting Crave from Edelwiess but realized I have too much to read already! :-)
ReplyDelete:D YAY! I couldn't pass up Crave. I know that I should have... but I have no restraint. Sigh.
DeleteI've heard some... interesting things about Taste Test! Just look at Blythe Harris's Goodreads profile ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you got to go to a signing! :D
Thank you for visiting my blog, Jess!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Just read that. Bummer! I'll let you know if I feel the same once I read it. And yes! I love signings! They are SO fun!

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
