Top Ten Tuesday #28

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

Top Ten Most Memorable Secondary Characters

1. Kenji from Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. (I bet he'll show up on quite a few lists! I love his humor! He was just a great character to add in!)

2. Adrian from Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. (I loved his wit also, but I loved seeing that softer side of him too that really cared about Rose!)

3. Jasper from The Steampunk Chronicles by Kady Cross (He's my favorite gun-toting American cowboy!)

4. Sabine from The Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent. (I know. Sabine is a complete bitch! But I loved that she was real, wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind, or show how she felt.)

5. Roar from Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. (Hellooo? It's ROAR for pete's sake!)

6. Aspen from the Liberator by Victoria Scott. (She is freaking hilarious. And is immune to Dante's charms! Love it!)

7. Karl from the Fate series by Heather Lyons. (Karl is an awesome mentor and protector to Chloe and really shows her affection especially when her loser parents won't.)

8. Tanzi and Jack from Just Breathe by Rachel Brookes. (Tanzi is the twin sister of Tate, and she is a firecracker! I love watching them interact with one another and she is a great friend to Sav. Jack is Tate's best friend (and Tanzi's boyfriend) and is just an overall really good guy.)

9. Garth from Lost and Found by Nicole Williams. (Oh, Garth. I hated you in the first book, but then you redeemed yourself in the end and I freaking adored you in Book Two! I cannot wait for your own book!)

10. Sirius from Harry Potter. (Who wouldn't remember Sirius Black? The one person who Harry finally had a familial type of connection to and then POOF? Dreams shattered.

  1. I also picked Adrian and Sabine :D I started out disliking them both but they grew really close to my heart.
How could I forget Sirius?! He's awesome! I was so mad at JKR when he died!
Anyway, great picks - makes me more eager to finally read Under the Never Sky and Shatter Me :)

    1. Yes! I hated Sabine at first, but then when I realized Kaylee and Tod belonged together, I didn't hate her as much! LOL. I hope you enjoy both UTNS and SM when you get to them Carmen!

  2. Roar made my list because - HELLO?! He's ROAR! :)

I picked Eddie from the VA/Bloodlines series. I've loved him ever since that horrible scene in Frost Bitten. And now, with Jill... *sigh*

The Liberator should be on my doorstep when I get home TONIGHT! So, I can't wait to read about this Aspen character. Great list as usual, Jess!

  3. Sirius was an excellent choice when you put it that way. I haven't read any of the other books, but a few are on my TBR list. It looks like I have several amazing characters to look forward to.

  4. The only one I've read from that list is Harry Potter. I have a fair amount on my TBR pile, but it's comforting to know that they have good secondary characters. They always make the novels rather enjoyable to read :)
