Lacey James is wild, spontaneous and up for anything.
Daniel Sullivan is careful, sensible, and mending his broken heart.

It’s a match nobody saw coming, but when the unlikely pair get stranded together on the way home for the holidays, Lacey finds her long-term crush impossible to ignore. As the snow keeps falling, and a friendly game of truth or dare gets way out of control, Daniel discovers that the one girl he wants more than anything is the last person he expected.

But when the snow melts, will their night together be more than just a memory? And will they make it to Beachwood Bay in time for the wedding? Anything can happen this holiday season!

Fall in love with the latest installment of the internationally bestselling Beachwood Bay series by Melody Grace.

My Review:

Hello amazingly delicious teaser! Yes, folks- this book is as hot as the above teaser! I was reading in the parking lot and I thought I was going to dissipate into a puddle of goo. Sighhhhhh! YOU GUYS. Melody makes me swoon SO HARD. I have LOVED every book she has written. And I have no doubts I will love every one she puts out in the future- she's THAT talented of a writer. The woman KNOWS how to write romance that will make your toes curl, take your breath away, and turn you into a starry-eyed believer in love and soulmates.

I loved both Lacey and Daniel's characters! The two haven't seen each other in awhile, as Daniel used to date Lacey's best friend Juliet. Lacey has always been attracted to Daniel, but he's always been the good guy- sweet, genuine, and a one woman kind of man. He would never want someone as wild and untamed as Lacey. Or so she thinks. Lacey was the wild to Juliet's calm. Unlike her best friend, Lacey preferred partying and one night stands. Yet, Lacey is fiercely loyal to her best friend and will do anything to make sure she makes it back to Beachwood Bay for her friend. Running into Daniel (literally!) at the airport is quite cute. Lacey is awkward, shy, and a bit silly around him. She knows he is still hurting and getting over his previous break up, but she can't help but ogle the attractive man.

Daniel. Oh, Daniel. I am SUCH a sucker for good guys. And he really is one. He deserves his happiness too, especially after having fallen for a girl who ended up still being in love with her ex. He had their lives planned out and both had wanted the same things: marriage, a family, etc. It was perfection- until it all crashed down around him. However, Daniel is working to push forward and even though Lacey is a blast from the past, it's not entirely unwelcome. He has eyes and she does not go unnoticed. She is still as beautiful and vibrant as ever and having to endure a 4 hour plane ride next to her is a good test of his self-control.

The old expression "When it rains, it pours" certainly holds true in this novel. While Lacey needs to get back to Beachwood Bay as soon as possible, fate certainly has other plans in store for her. Her and Daniel find themselves together for longer than they originally thought. Both of them are clearly attracted to one another, but Lacey is too afraid to make a move, as he is the good guy, who needs a good girl- not someone like her. She also is terrified her heart wouldn't make it out unscathed if they were to have an encounter. Daniel hesitates as well, as there is a war raging within him. He is the good guy, but he desperately wants her. I literally felt like my heart would burst from all the tension!

Even though this was a novella, Lacey and Daniel's attraction and chemistry was completely natural to me. They weren't complete strangers who just met and decided, 'Hey! Let's do this thing.' They have known each other for awhile and I felt Melody handled their relationship perfectly. Their interactions are filled with humor, some awkwardness, and a whole lot of sexiness, and we get to see a whole other side to 'good guy' Daniel.

And of course the icing on the cake- we get to see our old favorites show up: Emerson, Juliet, Hunter, Brit, and Garrett! After I finished Unafraid, I stated I wanted Garrett to get his own book and TA-DA! His is up next! I can't wait!
