Twenty-four-year-old Kylie Reed has always been a rule follower. Organized and cautious to a fault, her dreams for life are often filed away for future use—when she has a house, when she meets her future husband, when she has been at her visual display job at a chic Dallas boutique longer...Kylie always has a reason for living her life in the future, not in the present, and not living her life to the fullest and reaching her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
The only exception to rules, of course, would be running away with Prince Harry—Kylie’s ideal man. A hot, fun ginger boy would be worth breaking all the rules for, of course. And Kylie is sure Harry just needs the right, centering woman to settle him down. But living in Dallas and not knowing Prince Harry make this a non-option.
Or does it?
Because when Kylie accidentally falls into the lap of a gorgeous ginger boy—yes, even more gorgeous than the real Prince Harry—all bets are off. Could this stranger be the one to show Kylie how to take a chance, to face her fears, and live in the present? And could this stranger be the Prince Harry she has been waiting for? Kylie’s life takes some unexpected twists and turns thanks to this chance encounter, and she knows her life will never be the same because of it...

Oh this book. I want to hold this book tight and never let it go because I loved it that much. It was JUST the book I needed at the time I read it and I could NOT wipe the silly grin off my face! Or get rid of the butterflies in my stomach it was THAT swoonalicious! I read Aven's Connectivity last year and really enjoyed it. She has such a fun writing style that you can't help but fall in love with the characters and their voice! Waiting For Prince Harry is no exception! I adored the characters, the storyline, and most of all I loved the uniqueness it offered!
Hands down, I LOVED that Aven started every chapter off with one of those personality/romance type quizzes you'd see in Cosmo or Seventeen. She tailored them to fit Kylie's personality and I just laughed reading the answer choices! Such a great way to open up the chapters! It also gave you a little insight into how Kylie was feeling toward her job, her relationship with Harrison, etc.
Kylie was such a great heroine. I loved that she was quirky and a little awkward, because hello? I can totally relate! I also enjoyed seeing her grow throughout the novel. In the beginning, she's a bit timid and lets people walk all over her, but by the end she finds her backbone and starts making choices that are best for HER and I really enjoyed seeing that. Harrison had a lot to do with that as well, as he is really encouraging of her, but ultimately she's the one who put one foot in front of the other so to speak.
Oh, Harrison. One of my new favorite book boyfriends. He's the perfect blend of sexy and sweet and I fell for him hook, line, and sinker. He is also a little awkward at times and I loved that he wasn't this cocky athlete. There were quite a few moments I wanted to smack him upside his sexy ginger head for some of his actions, but overall, he's quite loveable. And man does he treat Kylie like a princess.
I have to say that I really like that Aven upped the steam in this book. The sexual tension between Harrison and Kylie was off the charts and I loved that we got to see a bit more in that department than we did in her previous novel. (HOLY POOL TABLE SCENE!) I won't even lie- Kylie and Harrison have a relationship that I envision myself hopefully having someday. They balance each other out so well and I love that they believe in one another and will fight for each other as well. Being a professional athlete is not easy and I like that Aven delved a bit deeper into the world of a celebrity because Lord knows it's not all sunshine and roses. She has created a realistic couple with real issues to face, but does so in an empowering way.
Do you need a fun, sweet read that will have you smiling from start to finish?
Do you need a sweet, but sexy romance with relatively low angst?
Do you need to find out what this infamous pool table scene I've referred to is?
If the answer is yes to all of these questions, then go one click. I promise- you will be glad you did.
Hi guys! Thanks so much for stopping by to chat with me today!
Harrison: Hi Jess! We're glad to be here!
Kylie: Thank you for having us today.
Kylie, let's start with you. How would you describe Harrison in 5 words or less?
Kylie: I only get five words? Okay: compassionate, athletic, intuitive, brilliant, sexy.
Harrison: (laughing) Is there a reason why sexy was last?
Kylie: (joining in laughing) No, I wasn't ranking them! Just giving them.
Okay, Harrison! Your turn. What about Kylie?
Harrison: Beautiful (giving Kylie a sideways glance)
Kylie: (giggling) Stop it.
Harrison: (grinning) Beautiful, loving, talented, sensitive, artistic.
(shakes head at their cuteness) What is a typical day in the lives of Kylie and Harrison like?
Kylie: We spend the first half hour of every day looking for things Harrison has misplaced.
Harrison: You're exaggerating.
Kylie: Did we not spend fifteen minutes looking for car keys before you could leave for practice today?
Harrison: Okay there might be some truth to that. Anyway, it's hockey season right now, so I usually have practice or a game if I'm not on the road. So we get up, take the dogs for a walk, then get ready for the day. I go to the rink and train.
Kylie: And I go to work.
Harrison: (grinning) We're extremely boring people.
Kylie: (smiling) And we like it that way.
I'm a bit of a homebody myself, so I can definitely relate! What is the one thing you can't leave home without?
Harrison: My phone. And my Kindle Fire when I'm on the road.
Kylie: I'd have to say my phone, too.
What kind of music do you like to listen to?
Kylie: We both love Muse. We saw them in concert, and they're amazing live!
Harrison: Yes, definitely Muse. I love Jessie Ware, too. She's my go to for dinner music.
Wooo! I'm a huge Muse fangirl myself. I'd kill to see them live!
Harrison, what is your idea of the perfect date?
Harrison: Making dinner for Kylie and watching a movie. See? I told you we were boring.
Kylie, what is the craziest thing you've ever done?
Kylie: Probably starting my own company. I never would have done that prior to meeting Harrison!
Is there a certain song you guys would say describes your relationship?
Kylie: Yes. Our song is "I Choose You" by Andy Grammer
Harrison: It's better than saying "Crying Shame" by Muse, right?
Kylie: (laughing) Yes, I think "I Choose You" says it all for us.
Harrison: (reaching for Kylie's hand) Yes, it does.
Awww! You can read the lyrics HERE.
Last question! You're both stranded on a desert island. What is the one thing you can't live without?
Harrison: Our dogs. We'd have to have our dogs.
Kylie: (nodding) Yes. Our dogs are our kids. Then food, obviously. Harrison's an athlete, and he eats all the time!
Thanks for stopping by and chatting with me guys! This was fun!
Harrison: Thank you for having us, Jess. Please let us know the next time you're in Dallas. We'd love to show you around.
Kylie: And we'll have you over for dinner! So definitely stay in touch!
Aven Ellis has been writing fiction since she was sixteen. She
studied communications at a large Midwestern university, and after graduation,
Aven worked as a reporter for a community newspaper, followed by a stint at a
public relations agency.
But writing about city council meetings and restaurant franchises
was not as much fun as writing for young women trying to figure out their
careers and potential boyfriends. So Aven got herself a job in television that
allowed her to write at night. Connectivity is Aven’s debut novel; Waiting
For Prince Harry and Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista (New Adult
romantic comedy) will be published next year.
Aven lives in Dallas with her family. When she is not writing,
Aven enjoys shopping, cooking, connecting with friends on social media, and
watching any show that features Gordon Ramsay.

I loved that you pointed out that Harrison was just as awkward at times as Kylie. They do make an awesome couple. And I adored that interview!! It really highlights the perfection of their relationship.

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
