Casey Markham is a man-eater in a rut. Swearing off relationships may keep her heart safe, but she's beginning to question if her casual flings will ever leave her satisfied. She's wondering if it's finally time to let go of the past and stop letting history control her future.

Bad boy biker, Tenn Jennings can't get Casey off his mind. A chance encounter with the beautiful blond has left its mark, and now he's determined to prove her wrong about everything she thought she knew about men.

It’s safe to say… Casey Markham has met her match.

Oh boy. Before, if you asked me who my favorite Last Call man was, I'd have hands down said Brody. I just have such a soft spot for that man. Ask me now and I won't be able to choose between him and Tenn. That's right- Tenn Jennings stole my heart and I don't even want it back.

I absolutely love this series. Not only is it set in the beautiful Outer Banks, but the romances are sizzling. Sawyer is such a talented romance author. Really and truly. She not only creates memorable characters, but I always enjoy her stories. This is no exception. I desperately needed something sexy and fun and Sawyer came through for me, just as I knew she would.

I have been waiting for Casey's story for awhile now, so I am absolutely thrilled that it's finally here! The youngest Markham has been known as the wild child and it's taken her longer than her friends and family to finally settle down and get her life figured out. Love hasn't been in the cards for her. Instead, she seeks out shallow, wealthy men to spend her time with- never letting herself get too close to any of them and making sure they won't care enough to let her get away. My heart hurt for her, as I don't think she wants this kind of life, which is why she's backed out on her friends a few times. They are all so happy and in love with their significant others and Casey is the only one remaining of the group to be without.

And then Tenn comes along and pulls the rug out from under her. Oh my goodness, this man. I could go on and on about how much I loved him. He's confident, sexy, charming, a bit of a badass, he rides a Harley, does some serious dirty talking in the bedroom, AND he is a great dad. What's not to love? From the minute he sees Casey he wants her. She's beautiful and their attraction to one another is so palpable... I like how unyielding he is. He won't let her play games with him and is determined to change her ways and make her open up her heart again. That wager he made while playing pool? Well played, Tenn. Well. Played.

Let's talk about the sexy times in this one. Holy. Moly. I will honestly never look at horseback riding the same again! Whew. I loved Tenn and Casey's chemistry. Tenn's gruff nature could be so sexy and the desperation and sheer need between them really upped the tension.

I kept anticipating the big fallout, because surely people can't just have relationships in books without something explosive to shake the new, unsteady foundation upon which its built, right? Hah. Well, Bennett does insert some angst, but it's relatively low and it actually felt realistic to the storyline, so I like that she doesn't just include it as a plot device. I did expect a bit more drama from Brianna, Tenn's ex, so I was pleasantly surprised that wasn't as big of an issue as I thought it would be.

I did have a few lingering questions upon finishing this one though, even with there being an epilogue. For as independent as Casey is, I'm surprised we didn't see her find a more permanent career choice or at least get a hint as to what she would like to do in the future. I also thought we'd see more on Tenn getting full time custody of his daughter. Regardless, I do love a happy ending, so even with a few questions, it didn't wipe away the grin I had on my face as I finished. If you're in need of fun, sexy read, this is the series to pick up!

  3. I abandoned this series after Sugar on the Edge disappointed me. I wanted to smack the guy in that one so hard! I couldn't believe the MC forgave the jackass! But I did love the first 2 books, so I'm thinking I should read this one. I love the sound of Tenn and Casey has always been an interesting character to me. And swoony sexy times you say? I'm IN!!

    1. I understand. Sugar on the Edge was my least favorite. I liked With a Twist, but this one was really high up there for me. Tenn is so dreamy. I want one.
