The Monday Musts: Golden by Jessi Kirby, Kacey Musgraves, and Kelly Clarkson on American Idol

This is one of my all-time favorite contemporary YA novels. It completely blew me away and changed my life when I read it a few years back. I really wish I had read this book back in high school- it was that poignant and inspiring.

I LOVE Kacey Musgraves! She is fantastic and absolutely adorable! I saw her last year at Bonnaroo and she was just perfection. She wore these amazing pink light up cowgirl boots and it was just awesome.
Must See:
Have your tissues ready people! She completely made me cry during this song. And to see Keith Urban get emotional? OH MY GODS.

YES! I love Golden! I'm thinking I need to re-read it sometime this year. Her books are so lovely.

I want to reread it soon too Nick! I need my own copy. I don't think I have one anymore. And yes! Poor Keith Urban! He was part of the reason I lost it. I always cry when other people do! LOL.
DeleteOh I loved Golden! And pretty much every single thing I've read by Jessi Kirby. Kacey Musgraves is fantastic. I need to listen to more of her music than just what they play on The Highway. And that Kelly Clarkson performance? Tears.
ReplyDeleteI have both In Honor and Moonglass to read! I bought them forever ago and haven't gotten to them! I love Kacey! She is so adorable! And yessss. Kelly is just amazing.

DeleteI've been holding off on Golden but I'm going to set it higher on my TBR now! I'll get it from the library next week :) It sounds pretty great. And oh my gosh, Kelly Clarkson. I love her so much. She's so talented and actually down-to-earth. I got the chance to go to one of her concerts and she's even better live. Great picks!
