The Feature & Follow is a weekly event that allows bloggers to get to know each other, and gain more followers! It is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

If you are a new follower, I thank you! I'm looking to do a follower giveaway very soon. Leave me a comment and let me know how you followed so I can follow you back! You can now follow me via Bloglovin' and you should follow me on Twitter! :)

Q: What is the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book- and how did you react?

Oh boy. I have a few:

1) Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs. (The 3rd Mercy Thompson book) Mercy goes through a horrible event and I haven't had a book reduce me to tears in a long time, if ever, but this one did. I hated seeing how broken and pitiful Mercy was after this event, especially since she's such a tough as nails heroine.

2) Harry Potter. You knew it was coming! End of Prisoner of Azkaban (oopsies, wrong book the first time!) Order of the Phoenix with Sirius. I was mad to be honest. Harry finally was going to get away from the Dursley's and live with Sirius and finally feel connected to a family and J.K. had to do that. SO MAD. And of course the final book- I was devastated over Hedwig, Dobby, and Fred? or George? (I can't remember it's been so long!)

3) Defiance by C.J. Redwine. The wagon scene gutted me wide open like a fish. Absolutely heartbreaking stuff right there.

4) The entire Everneath book by Brodi Ashton. There wasn't one scene, it was the whole damn book!! I only felt happy for a few times during that book, because it was all so overwhelmingly, heartbreaking.

Your turn!!! Tell me what scenes gutted you open and ripped your heart out?!

  8. The only one you've listed that I've read is the Harry Potter series, and I definitely agree. I chose a different death for mine because it was the FIRST that hit me, but Sirius and Dobby hit me just as hard. Especially Sirius. I really held on to the belief that he would somehow come back. It wasn't until I finished the series that I finally had to cope with the realization he was gone forever :(

    1. Me too! At the end of Order, I kept hoping it was a mistake somehow and that he was going to come back and him and Harry were going to be so happy together! Nope, J.K. Rowling just kept going with the pain after that one! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I will cry at any movie, whether it's sad or not, but I don't get overly emotional with books. Just a few every now and again where my heart will hurt. I don't do the whole sobbing thing.

Thanks for stopping by- I followed you back on both Bloglovin' and Linky!

  10. Hopping through. Prisoner of Azkaban didn't make me cry, but it is my favorite book and totally surprised me - although looking back it should have been more obvious - at least the Lupin part.

  11. Iron Kissed was a tough one. I think because of what took place both for Mercy and Adam, I fell in love with that book.
