Top Ten Tuesday #4
Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten To-Read Series
Top Ten
Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the
Bookish.
This week's topic is the top ten series you would like to start, but just haven't gotten a chance to yet!
1. The Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout- I know, I know. I LOVE JLA too! I've had this downloaded on my Nook for awhile and just haven't had a chance to actually start it!!
Books: Half-Blood, Pure, Deity, and soon to be released Apollyon.
2. Across the Universe by Beth Revis. I've heard alot of great things about this one too, and now that the final book just came out, I need to get on it!
Books: Across the Universe, A Million Suns, Shades of Earth
3. The Chemical Garden series by Lauren DeStefano. Again, now that the final book is out, I really need to start this. Though, I'm nervous because I've seen alot of twitterfeed about the bittersweet ending.
Books: Wither, Fever, Sever
4. Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. I've heard great things about this book, so I'll wait closer to when the next one comes out and start them both.
Books: Sweet Evil, soon to be released Sweet Peril
5. The Archers of Avalon series by Chelsea Fine. This has been on my TBR list for awhile and I finally broke down and bought them on my Nook.
Books: Anew, Awry, Avow
6. Article 5 series by Kristen Simmons. I love dystopian series and I haven't read one in a couple of weeks so this is one I'd like to try.
Books: Article 5, Breaking Point
7. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. I don't even remember how I found this book, but I remember thinking how different it looked and even though I don't read alot of horror type books this might be a good one!
Books: Anna Dressed in Blood, Girl of Nightmares
8. Trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking. I keep walking past these books at the library, but it always seems like they're missing one of the 3, so I never get them!
Books: Switched, Torn, Ascend
9. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I saw Cinder awhile back at my library, but it just didn't seem to interest me. But everyone tells me Cinder and now Scarlet are worth the read!
Books: Cinder, Scarlet
10. Eve series by Anna Carey. I've heard good things about this series around the blogosphere, so I think I'll give them a try!
Books: Eve, Once, Rise
Alright, your turn! What are the top ten series you want to read?!

Have you read the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout yet? I have that series on my top ten this week and almost added the Covenant series as well. I really do want to read it.
ReplyDeleteI read book 1 of The Chemical Garden series and really enjoyed it. I plan on reading the last two books in the series soon.
Here is my list: http://jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/03/top-ten-tuesday-series-id-like-to-start.html
I LOVED the Lux series! It was soooo good!! I'm glad you enjoyed the first book in Chem. Garden. I've heard mixed things about it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Ugh, I forgot to add Sweet Evil to my list. I haven't read these books either, so hopefully you'll read it and like it, and if you do, then I might give it a try.

There are so many series I need to read! The list just goes on and on!! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI loved Sweet Evil! There is just something about it! Covenant series is like Vampire Academy so if you like them you will like that series also! Archers of Avalon is a really, really fun read! I want to read Across the universe and Anna Dressed in Blood! (which I have, but haven't gotten to yet!)

Ooh, I'm glad you liked Sweet Evil- I'm really excited about it. And I'm glad you liked Archers- it's been on my radar for quite awhile!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!

Thanks Andy for following back! Happy reading to you! So many books and so not enough time, right?!
DeleteThe only one on your list that I've actually gotten to is The Lunar Chronicles. I also read Wither in the Chemical Garden trilogy, loved it, and have the others waiting on my shelf. I need to get back to them, but I can totally recommend the first one.

The Eve trilogy is fabulous! (At least, the first two books are. I have yet to read the third.) Anna Carey does a great job of showing readers the setting rather than just telling, and the action is intensely exciting. I hope you get to start all of these series soon!
ReplyDeleteI really want to start the Eve trilogy soon! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love Across the Universe, Anna Dressed in Blood, and The Chemical Garden series! Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I can't wait to get my hands on them! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAnna Dressed in Blood is so good! But the Lunar Chronicles are even better! Like you really need to read Cinder tomorrow :) Thanks for the follow and for visiting Elegantly Bound Book!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I tried to get Cinder this past weekend from the library, so hopefully they'll have it next trip. Thanks for stopping by also!
DeleteGreat list! Yes, Scarlet is even BETTER than Cinder. I am totally hooked on the Lunar Chronicles now. The Covenant series is also great, despite the fact that it bears a striking resemblance to the Vampire Academy. I didn't love Article 5 or Sweet Evil, though I plan to read their sequels (Many people LOVE Sweet Evil tho). I have Chemical Garden on my list, and I want to read Eve too! Thanks for stopping by my page.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that about the Covenant series, and I loved VA, so I think I'll like it. I've heard Scarlet is better, so that makes me really want to read both books! Thanks for stopping by also!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following my blog! And you have an awesome list! I want to read 6 of your top 10. Haha.. Followed your blog, too! :)

DeleteCinder is surprising. I expected it to be another retelling, but it was so different. Thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteI just heard about sweet evil because of the cover release os sweet peril. It sounds interesting. I just started Pure, the second book in the convenant series. We must be the only two people left who haven't read it! Thanks for stopping by.

I really think we are... LOL. Thanks for stopping by also!
DeleteI still need to read the Covenant series too. Love Article 5 and The Chemical Gardens. Really enjoyable series that I hope you'll like too. :)
