Swoon Thursday #45
Swoon Thursday is a
weekly event hosted by YA Bound.
Here's what you
do:
From the
book you're currently reading, or one you just finished, tell me what made you
swoon. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach
fluttering. Shout it out on twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in
the comments or grab the button above and share it on your blog.
This week I am swooning over Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi! I did a reread before I started Through the Ever Night and Into the Still Blue. I'm really glad I did too, because I forgot a lot!
"Aria rolled up onto her toes. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. The soft warmth of his mouth sent a wave of fire through her. Perry froze, then his arms tightened around her ribs as he deepened the kiss. They molded together, fitted against each other with stunning perfection. Aria had never felt as she did now, exploring the taste of him. Feeling the strength of his arms around her. Inhaling sweat and leather and woodsmoke. His scents. She felt as though she'd found a moment of forever. Like this was how they should've always been."

I still have to read this. I've had it on my shelf for a really long time and I always pick other books. It certainly sounds swoon worthy.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you enjoy it Michelle! I will say it starts off a bit on the slower side, but then before you know it- you're off running like a freight train!
DeleteA moment of forever - that is so sweet. Nice pick! I need to read this series.

If you like sci-fi dystopians, it is definitely one of the better ones out there! I really loved it!
DeleteI haven't read Through the Ever Night yet and I think I'm going to reread Under the Never sky first. I read it a long, long time ago so I also forgot most of it specifically - I remember really liking it, though, esp the romance! But even if I only read Under the Never Sky yesterday, that quote is enough to make me reread it. Swoon!
ReplyDeleteI did the same! I had to reread UTNS and I was really glad I did before starting TTEN. Oh, the romance between Perry and Aria definitely made the book that much more appealing to me!
DeleteLove it! I really need to get to this series! Maybe now that they are all out (or will be soon?) I'll just binge read them all. Awesome swoon!
ReplyDeleteYes! They are all out now! Definitely do a binge read Teresa! That's what I did, LOL!
DeleteI have these books on my TBR for February and I'm excited to read them!
ReplyDeleteOh yay Nereyda! I hope you like them! UTNS starts off a bit slow, but keep going. Trust me! :D
DeleteLove these two! :D
ReplyDeleteYes! Perry and Aria are definitely a favorite YA couple!
DeleteYAY, I'm so glad that you are reading this series! Under the Never Sky was my favorite of the three, but I really enjoyed each of three. Great swoon choice, Jess!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my swoon post!
I can't decide if UTNS or ITSB is my favorite. I feel like I'm with you though. UTNS held so much mystery and action and I love the anticipation that builds up with a good romance.
DeleteLove this scene *sigh* Sweet Perry and Aria :-)
ReplyDeleteYes! Me too! They are adorable!
DeleteThis was the perfect time to read this post, because I just started reading this book. I'm hoping to get through both this one and Through the Ever Night quickly, because I've got Into the Still Blue coming from the library soon.
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ Inspiring Insomnia

My blog is an award-free blog, however, as I just do not have the time to follow-up.
