  1. Wait a sec, Jess, did you not read Pivot Point with us?! holy crap read it now!!! :) seriously was one of my favorites of last year! Also shadow and bone. I LOVED it. I really enjoyed alice in zombieland but recently have been loving gena showalter's lords of the underworld series (adult para) :) Falling into you... it's amazing but... prepare for your heart to HURT.

  2. Gena Showalter made my list, but I haven't read a few of these either. If you enjoy high fantasy then Shadow and Bone is a good fit, but if you like more contemporary reads then David Leviathan or John Green would be better. David Leviathan has some great books though so my vote goes with him.

  3. Nice! I almost chose Simone myself. Although pretty much with my list, I have authors that I likely won't ever read since they don't write in my genre. Although one or two I am considering and I have 1 book from one of them too, as it was the only fantasy like story she wrote.

I did read Sarah Dessen long long ago and liked her at the time. Even though I wanted paranormal reads even back then.

Have read Gena's YA books and those are just awesome!

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. Oooh I loved the Leaving Paradise duology and the Perfect Chemistry trilogy by Simone Elkles but hated her newest novel Wild Cards. Kasie West is a lovely author! Leigh does a great job with world building but I'm not a fan of her characters. Not a huge fan of Gena Showalter in YA, but I'll have to try out some of her adult books. John Green... I have a love/hate relationship with his books. Sarah Dessen's writing style isn't for me. Lovely post, Jessica!

  7. I literally just finished reading my first John Green book last night. The Fault In Our Stars was exceptional, but make sure you have tissues for the last 70 pages or so. I have read a few of Sarah Dessen's books and LOVED all of them. I will definitely read more of her books.

I still need to read Shelly Crane as well. I have several of her books on my TBR list, but I haven't gotten around to them yet.

  9. I always encourage everyone and anyone to read Two Boys Kissing!!!!! I would also suggest you read The Fault in Our Stars first if you plan on seeing the movie. Make sure you have tissues. Oh and Kasie West is an author I highly recommend you read. She is fantastic!

  10. John Green is my one I'm not sure I'll ever pick up. I loved Rule and I didn't much care for Alice in Zombieland but think I may try one of Gina's other books. Thanks for a great list!

  11. OMG! You MUST read Kasie West! (At least her contemp books...) And as an NA lover, you will love the Marked Men series, so get on reading Rule! If you read that, I will start on Colleen Hoover! Deal?

Thanks for stopping by Take Me Away...

  12. OK, so I have only read three of the authors on your list. John Green (and that was only last year!) Simone Elkeles and Gena Showalter. I hope you'll enjoy all these authors if you do get a chance to read some of their books.

Thanks for stopping by earlier, Jessica. Happy reading.
