Guess Who's Back, Back Again...

By 12:00 AM

Hey guys!

Ok, so I'm not really Zoey Deschanel, but...

Ok this is better! This is me! On Broadway!

That's right, folks, I have up and moved to New York City! Wooooo!

View of Lower Manhattan from the Staten Island Ferry

Got to see Lady Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry!

(And my borough!)

(Astoria, baby!)

So, that explains my absence and my hiatus! I have missed you guys bunches! I have been here two weeks now and am pretty well settled in! I was fortunate enough to spend lots of time with family also! My parents and brother moved me up here and spent a few days sightseeing:

(The family at the 9/11 Memorial fountain)

(My brother and I went on a mini excursion our first day and found a fun park in Long Island City!)

(At the One WTC Observatory)

(At the 9/11 Memorial)

 (At the Met!)

(In Columbus Circle)

(Of COURSE I would make sure to stop by the Richard Rodgers theater as soon as I got here!)

(Still entering that Lottery EVERY DAY!)

(My bro enjoying his last slice before he headed back home)

(Mis padres on the Brooklyn Bridge)

(My parents at the One WTC Observatory)

After my parents and brother left, I started my internship (which is 3 days a week) and then my aunt from Syracuse who I haven't seen in almost 10 years came to visit!

It was really great to see her and catch up! (I definitely want to try and make a trip to Syracuse for Thanksgiving if work allows.)

That same day, my OTHER aunt and her husband came in town (him for work, her for play)! I spent quite a bit of time with them and they spoiled me rotten. They were wonderful and I am so grateful for their kindness and generosity!

We did some sightseeing last Sunday. My uncle works for a company called Deloitte, and they are located in the 30 Rock building, which brags of stellar views of the city. He got his badge and we went up as high as we could (50 floors!) so we got some great aerial shots of the city and got to see where he worked while he was in town and what he did. It was pretty cool. We ventured down Fifth Ave and made it to Central Park... where we saw Tavern on the Green was getting set up for the Hamilton Tony viewing party!

(Hah! That's my uncle going up to ask 'what was going on'. As if we didn't already know.

I don't know many other people that would stake it out with me! My aunt and uncle were rockstars!

Sadly, it got too cold that night so we couldn't stay up and wait for the cast to get there after the Tonys.

The next night, my aunt took me to see Something Rotten! on Broadway. It was SO good! And such fun! I loved it!

(I was super bummed Christian Borle, who plays Shakespeare, wasn't feeling well. He didn't come out and sign.)

Tuesday, I attended my first bookish event in the city at Books of Wonder! The Lady Janies were signing and talking about their new book My Lady Jane! I am super excited to get to it!

(They read a bit of the book and they were so dynamic! Loved the humor!)

Because that was my aunt's last night in the City, we went to dinner and then she convinced me to stand outside and get signatures from the cast of Hamilton, since it's right next to her hotel. It was a hot mess (literally!) and I was already starting to feel poorly, but she wouldn't let me give up! I got some signatures as well as pics!

(If it isn't Aaron Burr! Sir!)

(Angelica!)

(Eliza)

(Here comes the General...)

(I MET THE GENERAL!) The crowd had finally dispersed enough that I could move and run up to get a selfie.

(King George)

(LAFAYETTE! And Jefferson! LOL)

So there you have it folks! That's what I've been up to the last few weeks and why I've been MIA! Oh, and then I got sick on Thursday so there have been no more adventures for me. I did get my doctor to call in some meds for me, so I'm already feeling a bit better though!)

So tell me,

I really want to know! Please comment with some of your posts that I've missed! Seriously! Don't be shy! I want to see them!
