Monthly Recap

January 2016

Hello friends! Happy February! Can you even believe January has already come and gone?!

I had a pretty great reading month and am doing pretty well keeping up my reading challenges! I posted a challenge recap post for January yesterday so if you're interested to see how I did, you can check that out here.

I have been so much better about blog hopping and commenting this year. I have discovered some new favorite blogs and am constantly trying to squeeze in more as I have time.

We got 3 snow days under our belts this past month, which is always nice here in TN. And I discovered Hamilton the Musical. :)

I posted my first review on After Hours at Lilybloombooks and Tonya and I have started a new featured called Rec it to Me, where we get the other to read a book that we typically might not pick up.

It's quite difficult to pick a favorite book this month, because I had some really good luck with a lot of the ones I've read!

I'm going to go with The Song of Achilles though. It was just such a beautifully written book of love and I cannot rec it enough!

  1. Ooooooooh you're going to read the Love Me With Lies series?!?! I'll be interested to see what you think of it. I loved it, but my god I wanted to chuck my iPad across the room a couple times. It's angsty AF. But, in the end, I loved it. It was worth the frustration. Haha. I hope you'll think the same!

  5. Looks like you had a good month, Jess! I really want to read The Songs of Achilles. I love ancient Greece (actually studying it in school ATM) so it sounds perfect. And I need to read an Emma Chase book soon. I've seen so many good reviews lately for her books.
